  Dr. John Hoffman

  An extensively trained board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, John Hoffman, MD practices at Orthopaedic Specialists in Davenport and Clinton, Iowa. Throughout his 30 years of experience, Dr. Hoffman has performed over 1,500 ACL reconstructions, and each year he completes over 600 total joint replacements. Following graduation from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, he attended the University of Toronto where he completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine. Dr. Hoffman dedicates his time to a number of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has also helped to develop a Rapid Recovery Joint Program and spends time educating surgeons on how to implement this unique process. Dr. Hoffman and his team at Orthopaedic Specialists utilize minimally invasive techniques to reduce downtime and to deliver uncompromising patient care.

  Dr. Tuvi Mendel

  As the head of the Orthopaedic Specialists Foot and Ankle Center, Tuvi Mendel, MD is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of conditions associated with the feet, ankles, and lower legs. After earning his medical degree from Louisiana State University, he completed a fellowship with the renowned orthopaedic specialist Dr. Roger Mann. Dr. Mendel also has a certificate of additional qualification in sports medicine. An active member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, and other professional organizations, Dr. Mendel is also highly experienced in performing a number of advanced procedures, including arthroscopic surgery and total ankle replacements. At Orthopaedic Specialists, Dr. Mendel’s primary focus is to provide the best quality care to patients throughout the Quad Cities area.

  Dr. Tyson Cobb

  A member of Orthopaedic Specialists’ elite team of surgeons since 2000, Tyson Cobb, MD is extensively trained in performing minimally invasive orthopedic surgery of the upper extremities. He is a graduate of the Texas Tech School of Medicine and holds several patents on minimally invasive surgical equipment. Dr. Cobb is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and he holds a certificate of added qualifications in surgery of the hand. He is an active member of numerous professional medical organizations, including the American Association for Hand Surgery and the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. As a pioneer in his field, Dr. Cobb is an opinion leader and influences surgeons worldwide. He frequently instructs his colleagues in the use of innovative arthroscopic and endoscopic surgical techniques. Dedicated to providing exceptional care to each of his patients, Dr. Cobb has been named one of the Best Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeons in America.

  Dr. Michael Dolphin

  As the leader of Orthopaedic Specialists’ Spine Center, Michael Dolphin, DO oversees treatment associated with back and neck disorders and is the only surgeon in the Quad Cities area who performs outpatient spine surgery. Dr. Dolphin earned his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and went on to complete specialized training in spine surgery during his fellowship at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. As a result of Dr. Dolphin’s dedication to minimally invasive spinal fusion techniques and to the development of protocols that allow for quick recovery, most of Dr. Dolphin’s patients typically return home within 24 hours of a procedure. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Dolphin is also a member of several prestigious medical organizations, including the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

  Dr. Ryan T. Pokorney

  Board-certified orthopaedic surgeon Ryan T. Pokorney, DO is one of the many talented surgeons helping patients at Orthopaedic Specialists, PC in the Quad City area. A graduate of Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, MO, Dr. Pokorney also completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015 followed by the Otto E. Aufranc Adult Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital. Dr. Pokorney is dedicated to helping patients regain their mobility and livelihoods; he creates unique treatment plans utilizing minimally invasive techniques to reduce downtime and to deliver uncompromising patient care. Dr. Pokorney is extensively trained in a wide range of techniques, including primary knee replacement, primary hip replacement, knee arthroscopy, hip arthroscopy, and other lower extremity procedures.
